BP Explosion

Burwell Nebout Trial Lawyers has always been there protecting Texas' working families.  When the British Petroleum–Texas City facility tragically exploded on March 23, 2005, Burwell Nebout Trial Lawyers was involved in all aspects of this litigation from beginning to end. As legal counsel to over eighty-five (95) seriously injured men and women, we were there organizing the initial investigation within 48 hours of the tragedy.  We obtained injunctions to preserve evidence within one week of the explosion and participated in all court hearings.  We were selected as one of five law firms to have access to crucial investigative data relating to the explosion.  Our partner, James Nebout, was appointed by the Court as “Liaison Counsel” for the entire litigation group.  The Court also appointed Burwell Nebout Trial Lawyers to the Discovery Committee which consisted of an elite group of only five law firms. Burwell Nebout Trial Lawyers negotiated and settled two cases in catastrophic “Phase–I” of the litigation against BP.
